Dr. Peter Feringa graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. From there, he went to Los Angeles, where he studied under Dr. Stephen Ettinger for two years. In 1988, he married Kara Garbo and together they have triplets - Brett, Megan, and Ellen, who were born in 1996. Dr. Feringa owned Bay Animal Hospital from 1991 until 2009. He then moved back to Louisiana and purchased Hillside Veterinary Associates. Dr. Feringa has a special interest in internal medicine and cardiology. He is an avid fisherman and loves to be outdoors.
Dr. Stephanie Conner was born in Belle Chasse, LA. She attended Archbishop Blenk High School, then Louisiana State University, majoring in Animal Science. After marrying her husband, Ben, she graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. The Conner family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked at a busy, multi-doctor practice until her daughter, Landry, was born. She moved back to the Northshore in 2010, where she now resides in Covington. Dr. Conner and her family have a horse, cats, and 2 dogs, Lacey and Drogo. Dr. Conner has been with Hillside Animal Clinic since December 2013, and she is very happy to be a part of the community! In her spare time, Dr. Conner is an avid LSU and Saints football fan and enjoys going to the games with her family.
Dr. Ashley Berthelot completed her undergrad at Louisiana State University and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her veterinary career began as an equine veterinarian, starting with an AEP Avenues internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center in Littleton, Co. Afterwards, she moved to the Folsom area where she continued to practice equine medicine until she transitioned to small-animal. Dr. Berthelot and her husband, Matt, have been married for twelve years and have three children. She currently lives in Folsom, LA, with her six horses, three cats, and one dog. In her spare time, she is busy with her children’s extracurricular activities and attending LSU games.
